Last week, these 13 Ridge View High School students attended the Iowa Youth Symposium (the fall event for Model United Nations) at the Capitol building in Des Moines with Mrs. Jeanne Bell. They participated in committees discussing issues such as
(1) Safety and Accountability for Humanitarian Aid Workers, (2) Sustainable and Peaceful Development of Outer Space, (3) Strengthening International Cooperation to Combat Transnational Organized Crime, and (4) Developing Sustainable Smart Cities.
2nd graders at Galva-Holstein Lower Elementary had the surprise of a new book today! Each 2nd grade class was read ‘Just Like Caitlin’ by their teacher and then each student received their very own copy of the book!

As the giving season approaches, the Jensen Family is excited to give the book, ‘Just Like Caitlin,' to EVERY second grader in the state of lowa. This book tells her story and includes many important life lessons like dreaming big, working hard, valuing relationships over winning and many more. Dickson and Luann Jensen are proud lowans, business owners, coaches, parents, and grandparents. They are proud of Caitlin and believe she is a great role model for all kids. Because of their love for children and desire to impact the next generation, they hope this book inspires kids to believe their future can be greater than they imagine.
The copy of the book is for each 2nd grade student to keep and enjoy! Our desire is to keep spreading Caitlin's story and her influence on kids. You can read more

Parents of Ridge View High School Football and team members:
The 2024 Football Banquet will be held on Tuesday November 26th at 6:30 pm. The meal will be held in the commons beginning at 6:30 pm with the awards presentation to follow in the auditorium.
Each family should bring a main dish. The freshman, sophomores, and the juniors should also bring a side dish in addition to the main dish. Seniors should also bring a dessert in addition to the main dish.
We ask each person to provide/bring their own plate, silverware, napkins, and drink.
