September is Suicide Prevention Month. In honor of Suicide Awareness and Prevention, CLAWS UP would like to announce our speaker for our community event on October 24th, Kevin Hines. Kevin is a storyteller, an author, a global public speaker and an award-winning documentary filmmaker. In the year 2000, Kevin attempted to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Many factors contributed to his miraculous survival including a sea lion which kept him afloat until the Coast Guard arrived. Kevin now travels the world sharing his story of hope, healing, and recovery while teaching people of all ages the art of wellness and the ability to survive pain with true resilience. His motto is #BeHereTomorrow and every day after that. Please mark your calendars for this inspiring message from Kevin Hines on October 24th at 6pm in the Rosemary Clausen Center. We would also like to thank the Ida County Planning Council and VT Industries for their financial contributions to make this event possible! #CLAWSUP
