Sgt. Meyer of the Sac County Sheriff's Office spoke to the Ridge View Middle School for Red Ribbon Week and informed the students of the dangers and consequences of using drugs. He also showed us how K-9 Havoc can search and locate drugs. Thank you Sgt. Meyer! #CLAWSUP

The Galva-Holstein Lower Elementary Halloween Parade will now be held in the North Gym on Thursday, Oct. 31st.. Start time will be 3:00. We will dismiss students immediately upon completion of the parade. #CLAWSUP

Jackie Diersen's 7th-grade reading class wrote and illustrated books about South Sudan. To conclude the project, they read their books to elementary students at Early. The middle school students enjoyed interacting with the younger grades.

Cherokee county Sheriff Derek Scott and his 3 legged dog Baxter shared a fun Halloween book with the Galva-Holstein 2nd graders. They got to hear Baxters life story and learn a valuable lesson, even if you have some bad days, it will get better!

Sheriff Wade Harriman, Deputy Kinnaman and K9 Ghazi came to visit the G-H lower elementary for Red Ribbon Week. They demonstrated some commands and talked about how K9 Ghazi protects and serves our community. For Red Ribbon week, the students also participated in a coloring contest and the one student from each class that was selected is pictured. (Missing one)

G-H Elementary Students: Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 25th, you can wear a hat for $0.50 and show support for our elementary secretary, Caci Brus and her family as Caci has been undergoing several health issues. The fundraiser is to help defray medical and travel expenses. All money raised will be going directly to the family.
