ELITE RAPTOR ALERT: Congratulations to Melany Horan and Chloe Kinney, who were selected for a spot in the Northwest Iowa Junior High Honor Band at a very demanding audition on Saturday. Chloe was one of 12 alto saxes accepted out of 52 trying out. She is 1st chair and second part of the band. Melanie was one of 18 flutes selected, of 54 trying out, and was chosen as the 1st chair of the 1st part of the band. They will perform at Dordt College on November 9th. Because of her achievement, Melany is also selected for the All Iowa 8th grade Honor Band and is one of only two flute students from Northwest Iowa to receive this honor. This band will perform in May for the Iowa Bandmasters Conference. #CLAWSUP

Monday Afternoon Football this afternoon in Early, Iowa. The Ridge View junior high football team will play host to Kingsley Pierson with action starting at four o'clock. We will play three quarters of 7th grade followed by 3 quarters of 8th grade. The 8th grade game is scheduled to start at approximately 5:00, but we will play ahead of schedule if 7th grade finishes early. #CLAWSUP #GoRaptors

The first Ridge View Middle School Career Cafe was hosted by Mrs. Teague. Jane Hogue from Prairie Peddler visited with middle school students who chose to participate about her experience in the floral industry. Mrs. Teague surveyed her students and compiled a list of vocations they were interested in. She will host more 'Cafes' throughout the school year.

JH volleyball will be played on one net this afternoon in Schaller. 7th grade will play first followed by 8th grade.

Congratulations to both the cross country boys and girls team for taking second place on Monday night at the Bob Saunders Classic in Ida Grove and the volleyball team for their sweep of Siouxland Christian last night.
